UK Science Museum Group choose Curve for user research and usability testing on Manchester's new MOSI website.
Usability testing for UK Science Museum Group
The Science Museum Group selected Curve to help with user research and UX testing on responsive prototypes for their new mobile-friendly website. There was a rigorous tendering process, which saw Curve selected for their diligence in observational usability testing mixed with a highly technical Drupal development team. Curve are also well aligned with the museum group do to their championing of innovation, education, creativity and science in all forms.
The User Research work will include benchmark accessibility and usability audits of the existing sites focussing on areas that form key parts of the museum’s forward-thinking strategy and organisational objectives as a whole.
We are focussed on getting the UX right for a wide range of users, some of whom have been long-term visitors to the museum, whilst some are new faces who need help with signposting.
As with many design projects, we will have to carefully balance the information architecture and design work to both help support the museum's strategic objectives and creatively provide streamlined key user journeys.
Curve have carried out a range of work in order to achieve the strategic objectives of this first important discovery phase of the project. This included: User Journey Mapping, Observational Usability Testing, Paper Prototyping, Responsive wireframing and designing in the browser to produce fluid style-tiles.
If you would like to talk to Curve about an upcoming project which includes a focus on providing a better experience for users across mobile, tablet and desktop devices, please use the contact form to get in touch.
